Privacy policy

This policy covers MARGA CONCEPTS PTY LTD (ABN 34 703 565 119, "we"), the websites margaconcepts.com and zmarga.com, and our software, including Zmarga. The short version: Zmarga does not collect anything, and we keep only what we need to sell you a licence and answer your emails. If a future app works differently, this page will say so before that app is released.

Zmarga

• Zmarga runs on your computer. Your code, files and workspaces stay there. We never receive them.
• It has no telemetry, analytics, crash reporting or account, and it does not check in with us. Your licence key is checked on your computer, offline.
• The only network connections it makes are the git actions you click (fetch, pull and push). Those go directly to the git server you set up, such as GitHub or your company's own server, never to us. Any git credentials you enter are kept in your computer's own credential store.

The websites

• No cookies, analytics, advertising or tracking scripts, and no third-party fonts or embeds.
• The sites are hosted by Cloudflare, which processes visitors' IP addresses and request details to deliver the pages and protect them from abuse. We do not use that data to identify you.

Buying a licence

Purchases are handled by our reseller, FastSpring, which acts as the merchant of record. It collects your payment details under its own privacy policy; we never see your card details. From the reseller we receive your name, email address, country and the details of your order. We use them to:

• issue your licence key, which includes the licensee name you choose;
• keep a record of the keys we have issued, so a lost key can be re-sent;
• answer questions about your order and process refunds;
• meet our tax and accounting obligations.

We do not send marketing emails unless you ask for them, and we do not sell or share your information with anyone else, except where the law requires it.

Emails you send us

If you email us, we keep the conversation so we can reply and follow up.

How long we keep it

Order and licence records are kept for as long as your licence may need support, and at least seven years for tax purposes. Emails are kept for as long as they are useful for support.

Where it is kept

Our records are kept in Australia. The reseller and our hosting and email providers may process information in other countries under their own privacy terms.

Your rights

You can ask for a copy of the information we hold about you, have it corrected, or have it deleted where we are not required to keep it. If you are in the EU or UK, you also have the rights given by the GDPR, including the right to complain to your data protection authority. In Australia, you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner.
